Authenticated role disclosure via insufficient endpoint authorization
Published Dec 8, 2022 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
Information disclosure in Teleport 3.2.2, 3.5.6-rc6, and 3.6.3-b2 allows remote authenticated users to read role-list data. The /user/get-role-list web handler returns role information to logged-in users without enforcing the intended authorization boundary. A valid Teleport account is required; the documented effect is disclosure of role information, with no reported data modification or service interruption.
