Database query manipulation via injectable user identifier
Published Sep 15, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SQL injection in Godfrey De Blessed Church Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to read database data via a crafted id. The edit_user.php handler interprets the id query parameter as SQL syntax, so a UNION SELECT payload changes the query and returns the database name. Administrative access is required, and resulting database operations remain bounded by the application's database-account permissions.
