Service crash via oversized adItemUID copy
Published Aug 28, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stack buffer overflow in the Tenda M3 1.0.0.12(4856) httpd service allows remote authenticated users to crash the service. The formDelAd function copies the POST adItemUID value into stack buffer v6 without enforcing its destination length, so oversized input overwrites adjacent stack memory. Reaching the endpoint requires a logged-in web session in the published test; exploitation interrupts httpd without reported data disclosure or modification.
