CVE-2022-38555Network attack vector

Remote compromise via ej_get_web_page_name buffer overflow

Published Aug 28, 2022 · Updated Jul 9, 2026

Buffer overflow in Linksys E1200 firmware 1.0.04 allows remote attackers to read or alter device data and interrupt service. The ej_get_web_page_name routine performs an out-of-bounds write, but the public record does not identify the controlling input or destination buffer. No authentication or user interaction is required; published evidence does not distinguish a crash from code execution.
