Administrator-authenticated OS command execution via CLI injection

Published Feb 7, 2023 · Updated Mar 25, 2025

Command injection in affected Zyxel firewall firmware releases allows remote authenticated users to execute OS commands through the CLI. Zyxel has not disclosed the affected CLI command or how it passes untrusted input to the operating-system command interpreter. Administrator privileges are required, and remote reachability depends on management exposure because WAN access is disabled by default.
