Cross-site request forgery via unprotected AJAX actions
Published Sep 23, 2022 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Cross-Site Request Forgery in Customer Reviews for WooCommerce 5.3.5 and earlier allows remote attackers to alter plugin state via crafted requests. Several plugin AJAX actions omit WordPress nonce and capability checks, allowing a logged-in administrator's browser to be induced to submit state-changing requests. Exploitation requires the victim to be logged in and to visit attacker-controlled content; the documented impact is limited integrity loss without confidentiality or availability impact.
