User-assisted arbitrary code execution
Published Oct 25, 2022 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
Improper input validation in Illustrator 26.4 and earlier and 25.4.7 and earlier allows attackers to execute arbitrary code via a malicious file. Adobe identifies the validation failure but does not disclose the affected parser, input field, or incorrect operation performed on file data. Execution occurs in the current user's context only after the victim opens the crafted file, with no broader privilege established.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
