Unauthenticated information disclosure via path traversal
Published Oct 14, 2022 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
Path traversal in Adobe ColdFusion 2018 Update 14 and 2021 Update 4 allows remote attackers to disclose information via the Application Server endpoint. The endpoint uses a user-supplied path in file operations without proper validation, allowing traversal outside the restricted directory and disclosure of sensitive files in the server context. Authentication and user interaction are not required, and the consequence is information exposure without demonstrated data modification or service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
