Code execution via out-of-bounds SVG buffer read
Published Sep 16, 2022 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
Out-of-bounds read in Adobe Animate 2021 21.0.11 and earlier and 2022 22.0.7 and earlier allows attackers to execute code via crafted SVG data. The SVG parser processes crafted data in a way that reads beyond the end of an allocated buffer. Exploitation requires a local user to open the malicious file or visit attacker-controlled content, after which code runs with that user's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
