CVE-2022-38402

Code execution via out-of-bounds SVG read

Published Sep 16, 2022 · Updated Apr 23, 2025

Out-of-bounds read in Adobe InCopy 17.3 and earlier and 16.4.2 and earlier allows attackers to execute code via a malicious SVG file. The SVG parser reads beyond the boundary of an allocated object; public disclosures do not identify the routine or malformed field. Execution requires a victim to open the file and runs in the context of the current user, allowing the attacker to inherit that user's access.
