Stored cross-site scripting via unescaped log fields
Published Nov 2, 2022 · Updated Oct 25, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in Fortinet FortiADC 7.0.0 through 7.0.2 and 6.2.0 through 6.2.4 allows remote attackers to run script code. The traffic and event log views render attacker-controlled URL and User field values without neutralizing active web content. Attackers must first place a crafted value into logged traffic, and code runs only when a user opens the affected log view, exposing that user's browser session.
