Path traversal in Safe Software FME Server 2021.2.5 and 2022.0.0.2 allows remote authenticated users to write files anywhere on the server. The fmedataupload request handler uses opt_namespace to construct an upload path but skips illegal-character validation when the value is absent or blank. Administrator access is required; the bounded impact is unintended or malicious file placement on the server drive.
