Memory corruption via oversized PowerSaveSet time parameter
Published Sep 7, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stack overflow in Tenda AC18 firmware 15.03.05.05 and 15.03.05.19 allows remote attackers to corrupt process memory via PowerSaveSet. The handler consumes an oversized time parameter without enforcing the capacity of its destination stack buffer, producing an out-of-bounds write. No authentication or user interaction is required; the public record does not establish whether the corruption causes only a process crash or enables code execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
