Authenticated database access via injectable department ID
Published Sep 12, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SQL injection in Online Leave Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to read or alter database data through the id parameter. The administrator maintenance endpoint treats a crafted id value containing a quote and Boolean expression as part of its SQL command, exposing a response-based oracle. A valid Super Admin session is required; response differences disclose database values, while the published assessment also covers data modification and service interruption.
