Server-side requests via unvalidated catalog source URLs
Published Sep 12, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SSRF in SLiMS Senayan Library Management System 9.4.2 allows remote attackers to trigger server-side HTTP requests through catalog imports. The marcsru.php and z3950sru.php handlers accept marc_SRU_source and z3950_SRU_source URL parameters and pass them to XMLParser without destination validation. The demonstrated consequence is an outbound HTTP request to an attacker-chosen endpoint; response disclosure and further internal-service effects are not documented.
