Script execution via unneutralized search input
Published Sep 12, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Cross-site scripting in SLiMS Senayan Library Management System 9.4.2 allows remote attackers to execute script through the search bar. The public search workflow places a crafted search value into the returned page without neutralizing executable HTML and script markup. No authentication is required, but a victim must submit or follow the crafted search and load the resulting page; script then runs in that victim's browser origin.
