Authenticated SQL injection via article sorting input
Published Sep 9, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SQL injection in JFinal CMS 5.1.0 allows remote authenticated users to read or alter database data via crafted article-list sorting input. The /admin/article/list handler appends an attacker-controlled orderBy value to an SQL ORDER BY clause without validation or parameterization. Administrator access to the backend is required, and exploitation is bounded by the database account's privileges.
