Stored XSS via unescaped settings output
Published Nov 28, 2022 · Updated Apr 25, 2025
Stored XSS in Donations via PayPal before 1.9.9 allows remote authenticated users with administrator access to inject scripts. The settings menu renders stored option values without output escaping, so crafted markup is emitted into an administrative page. Administrator-level access is required, and a user must load the affected page for the script to execute in that user's browser.
