Victim redirection via unvalidated destination URL
Published Dec 30, 2022 · Updated Apr 10, 2025
Open redirect in Esri Portal for ArcGIS 11.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to redirect victims through a crafted URL. Portal URL handling accepts an attacker-controlled destination without validating it against trusted targets; Esri has not disclosed the affected handler or parameter. Exploitation requires no authentication but does require a victim to follow the crafted link, enabling phishing without reported server compromise.
