CVE-2022-38200Network attack vector

Browser script execution via crafted map requests

Published Oct 25, 2022 · Updated Apr 10, 2025

Reflected cross-site scripting in Esri ArcGIS Server 10.7.1 and 10.8.1 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript via crafted web requests. Esri identifies affected map-service configurations but has not published the request parameter or output-encoding failure that reflects input. Victim interaction is required, and successful exploitation runs attacker-controlled script in the victim browser context.
