Browser script execution via crafted reflected input
Published Aug 15, 2022 · Updated Apr 10, 2025
Reflected XSS in Esri Portal for ArcGIS 10.8.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript when a user opens a crafted link. Esri ties the flaw to two reflected-XSS fixes but does not disclose the affected endpoint, parameter, or encoding failure that reflects link-controlled input. Successful exploitation requires user interaction, and the injected script runs in the victim's browser with the portal page's origin.
