Unauthorized FPGA bitstream remapping
Published Aug 11, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Improper access control in Gumstix Overo SBC on the VSKS board through 2022-08-09 allows attackers to alter FPGA bitstreams via adjacent access. The board permits unrestricted remapping of NOR flash that stores the FPGA bitstream, allowing replacement of the image used to configure the FPGA. Exploitation requires adjacent network access and can compromise confidentiality, integrity, and availability; the public record does not describe a narrower authentication or interaction gate.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
