Path traversal in Keysight Sensor Management Server 2.4.0 allows remote attackers to execute code through an unauthenticated HTTP endpoint. The addLicenseFile method checks only Windows backslashes in a supplied license filename, so ../ sequences escape the licenses directory and place an executable in the installation directory. No credentials or user interaction are required; sensorPing then resolves the planted ping.exe from the service working directory and runs it as the service account.
