Arbitrary file read via request-path traversal
Published Nov 10, 2022 · Updated May 1, 2025
Path traversal in POWERCOM UPSMON PRO 2.57 allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary system files through its HTTP service. The embedded web server resolves ../ sequences in the request path outside the web root and returns the referenced file without enforcing path confinement. General-user credentials and network access to the service are required; exposed files can include application configuration and stored credentials.
