CVE-2022-38117

Message decryption and tampering via embedded AES key

Published Oct 24, 2022 · Updated May 7, 2025

Hard-coded credentials in LoFTechnology Juiker 4.6.0311.1 allow physically proximate attackers to decrypt and alter local app messages. The Android app embeds its AES key in source code and uses that invariant key to protect locally stored user ciphertext. Exploitation requires physical access and Android root privileges; it exposes message contents and permits ciphertext tampering without interrupting service.
