CVE-2022-38088Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated file disclosure via unsanitized download path

Published Jan 26, 2023 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Path traversal in Siretta QUARTZ-GOLD G5.0.1.5-210720-141020 allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary files. The downfile.cgi handler accepts the _filename parameter, joins it to a computed base folder without sanitizing traversal sequences, and passes the resulting path to do_file for inclusion in the HTTP response. Valid HTTP Basic credentials and the correct transaction identifier are required; successful exploitation discloses readable router files without modifying them.
