Forced theme ZIP download via missing nonce validation
Published Jul 17, 2023 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
CSRF in Metagauss Download Theme 1.0.9 and earlier allows remote attackers to trigger theme ZIP downloads via forged requests. The dtwap_download() function accepts the request without valid WordPress nonce verification, causing it to run in an administrator's session. Exploitation requires an authenticated site administrator to click a crafted link, and the resulting ZIP is downloaded to that administrator's computer.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
