Unauthenticated settings changes via exposed nonce
Published Dec 22, 2022 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Authorization bypass in Jegtheme Jeg Kit for Elementor 2.5.6 and earlier allows remote attackers to alter plugin settings. The settings-update handlers accept a nonce exposed on plugin-built pages as sufficient authorization, then write attacker-supplied MailChimp API keys, global styles, 404-page settings, or enabled-element selections. No account is required; successful requests can disclose or replace the stored MailChimp key and change site-wide presentation and plugin behavior.
