Application crash via model-binding stack overflow

Denial of service in ASP.NET Core 3.1 and .NET 6.0 allows remote attackers to crash applications through a crafted request payload. Model binding parses the customized payload until the process exhausts its call stack and terminates with a stack overflow. An exposed ASP.NET Core endpoint that performs model binding is required, and successful exploitation interrupts the affected application.
