Local privilege escalation via long registry names

Out-of-bounds reads in the Windows kernel allow local users to elevate privileges by operating on long registry key and value names. The registry Configuration Manager fails to enforce length-dependent bounds while processing oversized names, causing kernel memory to be read outside the intended buffer. Exploitation requires local low-privilege code execution and can grant kernel-level privileges; malformed registry operations can also destabilize the host.
