CVE-2022-37953Network attack vector

Browser-session compromise via response-header splitting

Published Aug 25, 2022 · Updated Sep 16, 2024

HTTP response splitting in GE Vernova WorkstationST before 07.09.15 allows remote attackers to compromise browser sessions. The AM Gateway challenge-response dialog fails to neutralize CRLF sequences before including attacker-controlled data in HTTP response headers. Exploitation requires user interaction and access to a specific controlled deployment; successful attacks alter the victim's browser context without interrupting the service.
