Root command execution via CLI command injection
Published Nov 30, 2022 · Updated Apr 24, 2025
Command injection in Aruba EdgeConnect Enterprise affected ECOS releases allows remote authenticated users to execute commands as root. HPE identifies the command-line interface as the vulnerable locus but does not disclose the affected command, parameter, or faulty input operation. Authenticated CLI access to ECOS 8.3.7.1 and earlier, 9.0.7.0 and earlier, 9.1.3.0 and earlier, or 9.2.1.0 and earlier can lead to complete host compromise.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
