Privilege escalation via missing URL authorization checks
Published Dec 8, 2022 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
Improper access control in Aruba AirWave Management Platform 8.2.15.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to alter network settings. The web management interface applies inadequate authorization checks to undisclosed URLs, allowing a limited-privilege account to read sensitive data or perform actions at a higher effective privilege. A valid low-privilege account and network access to the management interface are required; published impact is limited to data disclosure and network-configuration changes.
