Privileged command execution via authenticated CLI injection
Published Nov 3, 2022 · Updated May 2, 2025
Command injection in affected ArubaOS releases allows remote authenticated users to execute privileged commands through its CLI. The CLI fails to neutralize attacker-controlled command elements before invoking the underlying operating system; HPE has not disclosed the affected command or parameter. Administrative authentication is required, and successful exploitation runs arbitrary commands as a privileged operating-system user, enabling complete appliance compromise.
