Privileged command execution via authenticated CLI injection
Published Nov 3, 2022 · Updated May 2, 2025
Command injection in the ArubaOS command-line interface allows remote authenticated users to execute privileged operating-system commands. Aruba has not disclosed which CLI command or input field improperly neutralizes shell metacharacters before passing attacker-controlled input to the underlying operating system. Access to an authenticated CLI account with high privileges is required, and successful exploitation permits arbitrary command execution with privileged host access.
