Root command execution via management interface injection
Published Sep 20, 2022 · Updated May 28, 2025
OS command injection in ClearPass Policy Manager 6.9.11 and earlier and 6.10.6 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute commands as root. The web management interface places attacker-controlled data into an operating-system command context without adequate neutralization; HPE has not disclosed the affected endpoint or parameter. Access to a valid management account is required, and successful exploitation grants complete control of the appliance host.
