Unauthenticated command execution via unfiltered CGI parameters
Published Sep 6, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
OS command injection in TOTOLINK A860R firmware 4.1.2cu.5182_B20201027 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands over the network. The cstecgi.cgi handler passes acquired parameters directly to system execution without filtering. No privileges or user interaction are required, and successful exploitation grants command execution with the CGI process's device permissions.
