CVE-2022-37824Public exploit

Root code execution via unbounded shareSpeed copy

Published Aug 25, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda AX1803 1.0.0.1 allows local users to execute code through a crafted shareSpeed parameter. The fromSetWifiGusetBasic handler passes the parameter to strcpy, which copies it into the fixed-size v39 stack array without a length check. Low-privileged access to the /goform/WifiGuestSet handler is required; exploitation can crash the router or yield a root shell.
