Memory corruption via unchecked IP/MAC binding data
Published Aug 25, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda AX1803 firmware 1.0.0.1 allows local users to corrupt memory through an IP/MAC binding request. The fromSetIpMacBind handler processes attacker-controlled binding data without enforcing the destination stack buffer's bounds. Low-privileged local access is required; exploitation can crash the management process or redirect its control flow within the firmware.
