Authenticated command execution via tracert pingAddr
Published Sep 7, 2022 · Updated Jun 17, 2025
Command injection in Phicomm FIR151B A2, FIR302E A2, FIR300B A2, and FIR303B A2 3.0.1.17 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands. The tracert handler uses the attacker-controlled pingAddr value in command execution without blocking injected command syntax. Administrative authentication is required; successful injection runs commands on the router and can read, alter, or interrupt its data and services.
