Authenticated command execution via ping sendnum parameter
Published Sep 7, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Remote command execution in Phicomm FIR151B A2, FIR302E A2, FIR300B A2, and FIR303B A2 3.0.1.17 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands. The ping function processes the attacker-controlled sendnum parameter as the execution vector, but the handler and exact command construction are undisclosed. Administrative access to the network management interface is required, and successful exploitation executes commands with the router firmware's privileges.
