Code execution in Spring-integrated Pebble Templates 3.1.5 allows attackers who control template content to run arbitrary Java code. Spring integration exposes Servlet context and application beans whose traversable object graphs enable class loading and object instantiation despite unsafe-method restrictions. Exploitation requires an application to accept untrusted template content, and commands run with the Servlet container account's privileges; the vendor disputes that this behavior constitutes an engine flaw.
