Administrator takeover via stored blog-post script
Published Nov 25, 2022 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
Stored XSS in Orchardproject Orchard CMS 1.10.3 allows remote authenticated users to execute script via crafted blog-post content. The blog-post input path stores HTML and JavaScript supplied by an Author or Publisher, then renders that content without neutralizing executable markup. Author- or Publisher-level access and an administrator loading the post are required; the script can act with the administrator’s application privileges and take over the account.
