Dangerous file upload via missing type validation
Published Oct 31, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
Unrestricted file upload in Noumo EasyiiCMS 0.9 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to store dangerous files under the web root. Upload::file retains the submitted extension when constructing a filename and passes the result to saveAs without validating the file type. A valid low-privilege account is required; consequences depend on server handling of the stored file, so code execution is not established.
