Database data extraction via unsanitized collection identifier
Published Nov 28, 2022 · Updated Apr 25, 2025
SQL injection in WP Smart Contracts before 1.3.12 allows remote authenticated users with Author access to read WordPress database data. The Batch Mint Process incorporates a crafted collection_id value from step 4 of its administration page into an SQL statement without adequate sanitization, escaping, or query preparation. An Author account is required; a time-delay payload demonstrates query control, and the reported consequence includes extracting sensitive database information.
