CVE-2022-3752Network attack vector

Controller outage via crafted EtherNet/IP traffic

Published Dec 19, 2022 · Updated Apr 16, 2025

Improper input validation in Rockwell Automation Logix controller firmware allows remote attackers to interrupt controller service. The controller mishandles a crafted sequence of EtherNet/IP messages under heavy traffic and enters a major nonrecoverable fault. No authentication or user interaction is required; recovery requires clearing the fault and redownloading the user project file.
