Victim post deletion via nonce-free forged request
Published Nov 21, 2022 · Updated Apr 30, 2025
CSRF in the 2codeThemes WordPress Q&A product before 6.8.7 allows remote attackers to delete a victim's post through a forged link. The post-deletion request accepts a supplied post ID and performs the deletion without validating a nonce or requesting confirmation. The documented attack uses an attacker account to learn the link format and requires a logged-in victim to open the forged link; the resulting action deletes the targeted post.
