Settings modification via missing nonce validation
Published Nov 29, 2022 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in Muffin Group BeCustom 1.0.5.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to modify plugin settings. The administrative settings handlers accept state-changing POST requests without validating an anti-CSRF nonce, including requests that alter branding, feature toggles, and the WordPress login view. Exploitation requires an authenticated administrator with plugin access to visit an attacker-controlled page, after which the forged request changes site presentation and configuration.
