Peripheral disruption via exposed Embedded Controller interface

Improper access control in LCFC BIOS for Lenovo consumer notebooks allows local users with elevated privileges to disrupt peripherals. An exposed Embedded Controller interface permits privileged local software to issue operations that make connected peripherals work abnormally. Administrative-level local access is required, and the documented consequence is unreliable peripheral operation on affected notebook models.
