Process-memory disclosure via unchecked ADBC parameters
Published Mar 29, 2023 · Updated Feb 14, 2025
Out-of-bounds read in ADBC object handling in Foxit PDF Reader 11.2.1.53537 allows remote attackers to disclose process memory. The newConnection path passes abnormal JavaScript parameters into Windows database-API creation without validating them, causing a read beyond the allocated object. Exploitation requires the target to visit a malicious page or open a malicious PDF; disclosed memory supports chaining with another vulnerability for code execution in the Reader process.
